IBAC 11U team wins first Tournament

IBAC finished their season this past Sunday by taking 1st Place in the under 11 USSSA baseball tournament held in Elk Grove. IBAC defeated the four other teams in the tournament, beating the first 3 teams by 10 or more runs. The Championship game against the Any City Bandits was a real nail biter. The Bandits, who had previously, beaten IBAC in tournament play, started out strong and lead 7 to 1 after batting in the second inning. But IBAC's bats got hot; IBAC fought back to beat the Bandits by a final score of 9 - 7. This was IBAC's first tournament championship since the team was formed last February. "It was a perfect way to end our first season", says Coach Wally Montemayor. The IBAC 11 U team will take a few weeks off from tournament play.
